    • 1). Clean the countertop with soap and water. Allow the countertop to dry.

    • 2). Sand the countertop. If you need to remove heavy cuts or gashes, use coarse-grit sandpaper. If you are just restoring the grain, medium-grit sandpaper is sufficient.

    • 3). Wiping the countertop with a damp cloth removes grit and dust. Allow the countertop to dry.

    • 4). Apply pure white mineral oil to the countertop with a clean, dry cloth.

    • 5). Add additional mineral oil coats until the oil begins sitting on the countertop’s surface. Wipe away the excess with a clean cloth.
