    • 4). Talk to your doctor about decreasing your beta blocker dosage before trying a different drug. If you are experiencing side effects, decreasing the dosage may alleviate them.

    • 5). Ask your doctor about other medication options if you are still having problems with your current prescription. Follow the dosage instructions carefully for your new beta blocker medication. Keep track of any side effects you experience.
