How to Clean State Quarters

Method 1

• 1). Fill a small container halfway full of water and add five to six drops of mild liquid soap. Agitate the water with your fingers to form bubbles.
  
  
• 2). Place the quarters into the mixture and allow to soak overnight.
  
  
• 3). Remove the coins from the water. Rinse under running water and dry with a cotton cloth.
  
  

Method 2

• 1). Pour 1/2 to 1 c. of olive oil into a small container.
  
  
• 2). Soak the quarters in the oil overnight. Remove each coin and gently pick away remaining dirt with the end of a toothpick.
  
  
• 3). Rinse each quarter under running water and dry with a cotton cloth.
