Jet Lag Advice
- Try to adjust your body to a new time zone before you arrive by slowly working your body into your new time zone while still in your old one. Stay in the new time zone while on the plane -- sleep if it's nighttime, but don't sleep if it's daytime -- and stick to your schedule.
- Make sure to get lots of sleep before your flight. Drink lots of water, and avoid alcohol or caffeine, which will make even worse the dehydration that can occur during a flight. Keep your body moisturized and healthy.
- If you still suffer from jet lag when you arrive at your destination, exercise and spend a lot of time in the sun. Both will help your body adjust its rhythms and get into the new time zone.
