International Baccalaureate: The New Era of Education
Founded in 1968 and headquartered at Geneva, Switzerland, International Baccalaureate is an international educational foundation that operates in 146 countries and tons of students studying under its education system. While its name is enough to convey that it is a more internationally accepted education system, it follows a very different teaching methodology than the education boards existing in India.
Students learn more about themselves and essential ethics such as team work and leadership as they are exposed to projects on a regular basis. Apart from this, students under this system are taught additional languages that are beneficial in long run. The IB board also offers an opportunity to the students in engaging in to in-depth study of topics of their interest.
Recognition of IB in India
International Baccalaureate is recognized by "Association of Indian Universities" as an entry pass qualification to all the universities. This is equivalent to a 10+2 education qualification of an Indian Board.
How is IB Different
Being an international education board, it has international curriculum that focuses on teaching subjects in a more integrated manner and eliminating a fragmented approach.
It believes in holistic learning, intercultural awareness and enhancement of communication skills of the students. More importance is given to arts, languages and humanities in IB at a higher education level.
The board has a different approach where in there are less text books and more of practical knowledge giving students the freedom to explore the world better. It believes in how to learn rather in what to learn.

Complexity

The main advantage of studying under the IB Board is that it's syllabus is internationally accepted and students enjoy an edge over others aspiring for higher studies in abroad.
