    Finding a WAN in Windows Vista

    • 1). Click on the "Start" button in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.

    • 2). Click "Control Panel," then "Network and Internet," then "Network and Sharing Center."

    • 3). Click on "Set up a connection or network," and finally "Connect to the Internet."

    • 4). Finally, select a network from the list and click "Connect." Enter the security passphrase if necessary, and the computer should then connect to the Internet.

    Finding a WAN in Windows 7

    • 1). Begin by clicking the "Start" button in the bottom left corner of the desktop screen.

    • 2). Click "Control Panel," and in the search box type "network" (without quotes).

    • 3). Next click "Network and Sharing Center," followed by "Set up a new connection or network," and then double-click "Connect to the Internet."

    • 4). Select a network from the list, click "Connect," and enter a passphrase, if necessary.
