Listen to What a Burglar Is Telling you!

101 2
Yes I look very familiar.  I came into your home a week ago and cleaned your carpets, painted your shutters or perhaps delivered you a refrigerator.

I did lawn work for you 2 weeks ago and I just want to say thank you for allowing me to use your powder room, this gave me the perfect opportunity to unlock your back window so when I return to rob you I have an easy entry.

Your flowers are just gorgeous…this lets me know what great taste you have….which in return makes me think you have many great looking items in your home.  The children's toys that you leave outside?  Well I can only imagine what gaming systems you must have also.

It could really be me leaving flyers at your front door waiting to see how long it may take you to retrieve them.  I also love it when I see newspapers piled high in your driveway!

The unplowed driveways are a wonderful gift for me too….you should really consider informing your neighbor, friend or family member to make some imprints with a car and footprints into your home….. unplowed drifts in the driveway are a dead give away!

While many of you enjoy decorative glass entry doors, it would be wise to inform your alarmcompany when installing your alarm to place the keypad in a less conspicuous spot so I can't see if you have it set or not!   That makes it too easy for me.

A good home security company will place alarms at the window over the sink and the windows on the second floor, which often for many accesses the master bedroom - and your jewelry.  Maybe you should install motion detectors in that area as well.

It's raining dramatically and you are fumbling with your umbrella, you inadvertently forgot to lock your door – understandably so, but realize this: I don't take days off
due to bad weather.

I will always knock first and if you answer the door, I'll ask for directions somewhere or
offer to clean your gutters. (You really shouldn't take me up on it.)

Hiding valuable items in your sock, dresser drawers, medicine cabinet or the bedside table isn't smart!  You can be sure those are hotspots for me to check on.

Now this might help you out!  I usually never go into the kids' rooms.

Yes you are right; I know I will not have enough time to break into that safe where you keep your valuables.  It better be bolted down or it's coming with me.

Leaving your television or radio on loud can be a better deterrent than the best alarm system.  If you do not like leaving your television on while you are away maybe you should consider buying a $35 device which works on a timer and acts as a television in flickering glow mode.  You can purchase it at http://www.faketv.com/

And while I'm at it, let me tell you some other things I may or may not do.

I may carry a clipboard sometimes.  I also parade around in different costumes pretending to possibly be a lawn guy and carry a lawn tool.  I do my best to present myself to look anything other than the crook that I am.

The two things I hate the most?  Loud barking dogs and nosy neighbors aren't good for me, so if you have any of those you may be in better shape than the next guy.

I'll think nothing of breaking a window to enter your home, even if it makes a little noise. If your neighbor hears one loud sound, he'll stop what he's doing and wait to hear
it again. If he doesn't hear it again, he'll just go back to what he was doing and not think twice about it.  It's human nature.

I'm certainly not complaining, but why would you go through the cost for a home security system and not set the alarm before you leave your house?

I enjoy looking in your windows especially at night while I'm driving or walking by before you close your blinds.  This gives me a better chance at scoring higher now that I've seen all the wonderful items you can offer.

I wouldn't announce on the internet if and when you plan on going away.  I can find out your address much easier than you think.

Oh yes,  leaving that window ajar for some air while you are at work or away, thank you for the invitation to your home!

While knocking on your door, if you don't answer, I will try to open the door anyways. Occasionally, I hit the jackpot and walk right in.Get your protection now.   Protect yourself, your home and your family. PersonalProtectionandMore.com
