• When traveling in a motor home, you may be miles away from a medical treatment facility when an accident happens. Ensure that you can treat minor medical emergencies by having a first aid kit on hand. Gauze, adhesive tape, bandages of various sizes, splints, alcohol wipes and antibiotic ointment are just some of the items your kit should include. • While proper maintenance and regular care of your motor home will prevent many breakdowns, you never know when an unexpected problem may occur. Ensure that you have reflective signs or triangles, road flares and a fire extinguisher and that you know how to use them. A CB radio is a good option as well. Even if you're not comfortable talking on the air, you can always turn it on to tune in to the latest dirt about traffic jams, road detours and points of interest.
