Robstown, Texas is considered a western suburb of Corpus Christi and has been recognized by the Texas State Legislature as the birthplace of Texas Hold 'Em poker. Robstown features a large municipal complex featuring minor league baseball, exhibitions and some great restaurants. - Neuces County Sports Complex was built in 2003 and has held several minor league teams, including the Costal Bend Aviators and the Corpus Christi Beach Dawgs, in its past. Today it is the home of the Coastal Bend Thunder, a United League team. It has a 4,000 person capacity and features two levels of seating.

Borchard Regional Fairgrounds features full community activities including a large air-conditioned indoor pavilion, exhibition pavilions, a banquet hall and conference center, an equestrian center and the Heritage Center, a 4,500-seat arena.
