Cradle Cap - Not A Serious Illness

One of the troubles with life are the illnesses.
They are painful, troublesome and expensive.
They sure are things one can very well do without.
They affect the smooth flow of life and disrupt it completely.
Serious the illness graver is the trouble.
And if the illness happens to a baby then the seriousness of it can simply be understood.
One illness that can be included in this list is cradle cap.
Though it must be understood that it is not serious yet being an illness it is an irritant alright! Now the question that arises is that what is cradle cap? Well, it is popularly known as infantile seborrhoeic dermatitis and it occurs because of hormonal disorder in sebaceous glands which makes it hyper active and is passed to the baby through placenta during pregnancy.
This leads to the growth of skin cells on baby's head.
The best way to tackle this menace is by smearing the affected area with baby oil and after a few minutes, once the oil softens and looses scale, brush or comb the affected area gently.
Another way of tackling this menace is by washing the baby's head by a baby shampoo.
However, it can be avoided in the harsh winter months.
Though, it must be noted that cradle cap improves with time but just in case it does not then the best thing would be to consult the doctor who can refer some medicated shampoo or cradle cap cream.
However, one thing must be kept in mind and that is to avoid the use of force to remove the layers.
One must understand that any complication here can lead to situation getting worse.
The best thing, therefore, would be to stick to doctor's advise and wait patiently.
One must understand that cradle cap is not a serious illness and can be cured if one adheres to medical advise and exercise little bit of patience and caution.
