Get Started - Exercise Tips
You keep putting it off until tomorrow.
You come home tired from work.
You did not sleep well the night before.
You have to make dinner and once you eat you are out of commission.
There are many excuses and reasons one may not exercise to get fit.
Invest in an iPod so you can listen to your favorite music while you are walking or working out.
Compare your walking and workouts with music and without music.
You will find that when you are listening to music you workout harder and the time will go quicker.
You start to listen to the music in your mind and before you know it you are done.
This will help you stick with your workout goals when things go nice and smooth.
Plus, after you workout you will find that you feel better.
The endorphins will make you feel great.
You will also not feel guilty if you eat a little something extra as you know you worked out.
Set goals when you start working out.
You want to start off with small goals at first such as walking three times per week.
Once you accomplish this, add more workout goals to your exercise program.
You will feel proud that you are sticking to your exercises and you will start to notice how much better you feel.
Your clothes will start to fit looser as well.
If you find you have a difficult time sticking to your walk and/or workout goals for the week, ask your neighbors if they would like to join you.
It is harder to say no to another person than if you are working out alone.
The two of you can encourage each other when one of you does not want to workout.
Plus, it is always nice to have someone to carpool with if you are going to a gym and someone else to talk to.
Another one of the tips to help you get fit is to keep a notepad of everything you eat, the workout routine you do and how long you workout.
Write down breakfast, lunch, dinner and any snacks you ate.
You may be putting a piece of candy in your mouth, two bites of cake, a "little" ice cream, etc.

You will be able to pinpoint what is slowing down the progression of your weight loss.
