What Do I Need to Get My Spine Adjusted?

103 6
How do you know if you need to see a chiropractor? This is a very good question.
Nearly all of us will experience back or neck pains at some point in our lives.
The question of where to go for treatment is a very important one.
As a health care professional, I have studied the biomechanics of the spine and understand the importance of proper joint alignment.
This is such a key concept because our joint alignment determines how well we move and directly affects our global range of motion.
If a person has a trauma or has a chronic postural imbalance it is certain they are suffering from spinal misalignments.
If not treated through physical adjustments the joints will start to build scar tissue.
After 13 days of not using full range of motion scar tissue cells begin to be deposited in the joint capsule.
This is a major problem for our bodies.
Chiropractic care often called "preventative" care because it truly does change our joints positions and clearly improves overall joint health.
It is imperative to have as much range of motion as your body can as we age.
It is "common" but not normal to have spinal misalignments which lead to joint degeneration.
It really upsets me when I hear people talking about "having degenerative joint disease" because this is not a disease, it is an affect from healthy joints rotting.
There was no underlying reason for this to occur other than the demand that was placed on the joints and bones was unreasonable for the person's frame.
Wolf's Law states a bone will lay down more bone and scar tissue if under adequate force or stress.
This is exactly what is occurring.
People rarely acquire joint degeneration from having poor genetics.
Bad backs running in families is not a likely explanation for joint degeneration.
In closing, I can't stress enough how important it is to get checked by a licensed chiropractor for joint misalignments.
It is up to you do determine how your bones and joints age.
