    • 1). Insert the memory card into your computer's card reader. Depending on your MP3 player, the exact card format can vary. Sony MP3 players often use Memory Stick-brand cards, while current smartphones and some older smartphones use SD cards for storage. Refer to your MP3 player's documentation for additional information.

    • 2). Open "My Computer" and double-click your memory card's window entry.

    • 3). Open a second window and navigate to where your MP3s are located. Use your mouse to select these files and drag them from the second to the first window. This will cue up a file transfer progress bar --- once it disappears, your MP3s will be saved onto the memory card.

    • 4). Remove your memory card from the computer.

    • 5). Turn off your MP3 player and locate the memory card slot. The exact location of the memory card slot can vary, depending on your MP3 player model, but look for a label next to a similarly sized port which corresponds to your card.

    • 6). Insert your memory card into the MP3 player, making sure the connector and card are properly aligned. Turn on your MP3 player to finish the installation process --- you will now be able to play the songs you transferred onto the memory card through your MP3 player.
