How to Burn DVDs to iPod
- 1). Open your Internet browser and navigate to a DVD Decrypter download site. Unfortunately third-party freeware (free software) like DVD Decrypter is required if you want to put DVDs onto your iPod.
- 2). Click the "Download" tab on screen and follow the prompts to download and install the program on your computer. After you have, open the program from your desktop or from your program files and insert a DVD into the disk drive in your computer.
- 3). Click the "Mode" tab in the main menu screen of DVD Decrypter and then select "IFO" from the list of options. Click the "Tools" tab at the top of the screen, then select "Settings," then choose "IFO" again.
- 4). Locate the field on screen labeled "File Splitting" and set it to "None." Then select OK to exit this screen.
- 5). Click the "Stream Processing" tab in the right corner of the new screen and check the box next to the "Enable Stream Processing" option. There will be a list of options below this heading. Make sure only the top two boxes in the list have checks in the boxes next to them. Uncheck all others.
- 6). Select the folder icon on the left side of the screen and you will be prompted to choose where you would like your decrypted DVD stored on your computer. Choose where you would like to have it on your computer (desktop, My Documents, etc.). Once you select the location the DVD will be stored on your computer.
- 7). Open your iPod converter software from your desktop. If you don't have iPod converter software you can download it for free from the Internet. Click the "Setup" option in the main menu screen and then select the "Browse' tab.
- 8). Look for your newly converted DVD from the list of options and select it. You will be prompted to choose a location to save your DVD. It is recommended that you choose to save it in iTunes, but you can store it anywhere you like.
- 9). Click the "Save" tab and then click "Convert" when prompted. Then click the "Transcode new video" tab.

Open the DVD file on your computer and enter a title for it in the dialogue box that appears. Then click "Start" and the program will then go through the lengthy process of converting the movie to the appropriate file format for your iPod. The status bar on screen will inform you when it's done but it can take up to a couple hours to finish. - 11
Open the iTunes music program on your computer and locate the "Movies" folder in the left side of the menu. Open it and your DVD movie should be in there waiting to be played.
