Homemade Bread - Should You Buy a Bread Maker?
Because bread is so important to us, it is very important to eat high quality bread.
There are many kinds of bread.
Some of them are healthier then others.
It's up to us to choose the right one.
The basic principle is the more processed the ingredients, the less healthy the bread is.
So, if we choose to eat bread made from white flower, because it looks better, we choose to put our health at risk.
The side effects won't show up tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, but they will show up on long term.
Our health is the most important.
You need your health to enjoy life, to work, to raise children etc.
Pros and cons Pros 1.
I bought a bread maker because I know the bread from the stores is filled with chemicals designed to keep the bread fresh longer.
The problem is those chemicals are pure poison: additives, colorants, artificial flavors etc.
Why would I want to eat something that I know for sure is a danger to my health??? By making my own bread, I know exactly what the ingredients are.
So, this is my first pro and the most important: HOME MADE BREAD IS HEALTHIER THAN THE BREAD YOU BUY.
For the people selling the bread is just business.
All they want is to make money.
In order to make more money, they have to sell as much as possible of what they produce.
But if half the bread they made is not sold, they have a problem.
They can solve that problem by making the bread last longer.
How to do that if not by adding harmful chemicals in the bread? 2.
The price of home made bread is lower than the price of bread in stores.
Little by little you'll start saving money.
After a certain number of pieces of bread, you'll cover the price of the appliance and, after that, you'll start making a "profit".
I'm sure everyone wants to save money.
3.
The time of bread made by hand has past.
All you have to do is put all the ingredients in, and that's it.
In the shortest time possible, you'll have a fresh, healthy, hot piece of bread.
4.
Most of bread makers, if not all, are programmable.
This means you can set the bread maker to have your bread ready, for instance, exactly when you wake up in the morning, so you can have a nice, healthy breakfast with warm bread.
You children will love it.
5.
Some bread makers can be used not only for bread.
Some of them can help you make pizza or jams.
Just like bread, jams in the stores are also preserved with dangerous chemicals.
Cons 1.
A bread maker's price ranges from 50$ to 200$, some of them more, but I think over 200$ the price is not justified.
A bread maker is a relatively simple device, so a price between 50$ and 200$ is OK.
So, the first con is that you'll have to come up with the money to buy it.
It's not much, but I bet you'd rather receive money than giving it away.
Am I right? 2.
Making a bread with a bread maker takes up to 3,5 hours.
So, the second con is the time it takes to make the bread.
When you're hungry, the last thing you want to do is wait.
If you forget to make your bread you'll have to buy it or wait.
3.
The 3rd con is that you'll have to buy all the ingredients necessary to make the bread.
So, you can say it's a little more complicated than just simply buying the bread.
In conclusion, I can say I'm not sorry I bought the bread maker.
Money well spent.
Now I can only eat home made bread.
It's so tasty...
mmmm.
If you decide to buy a bread maker, you'll understand.
