Choosing an Adirondack Chair Pattern to Build

103 2
The Adirondack chair is a very comfortable, very odd shaped chair, invented in the early 1900s by a guy named Thomas Lee.
Legend has it that a true chair will sit at a certain angle and your knees will be a certain height off the ground.
With that said, building a good chair takes a little bit of knowledge, but is something you can easily do in a weekend.
Of course having a good Adirondack chair pattern to build your chair is important if you want the true feel.
I attempted to build mine the way they were meant to be built but had trouble finding a true pattern.
Most of the ones I saw online just didn't seem to sit right, or were too small for me.
After I did some research online, I found a great pattern to work from, and the end result was a very relaxing chair.
You might be looking for a pattern to build your Adirondack chair from.
While it is hard to tell what the perfect angle is for your chair by looking at a drawing, you can easily build one that you can adjust to suit you.
The arms on the chair are designed to be wide and long so you can set a cup of coffee and a newspaper on them and still have room to stretch out your arms.
This, along with its relaxing curves, makes the Adirondack chair a great chair to relax in, and if built right, will last you many years.
