Healthcare is an important topic in Eastern European countries and major strides have been made to strengthen the healthcare systems. Do they play more or less of a role than economics itself, or does modern day economics bounce more off human design? This thesis can also explore ways in which economists can work to shape favorable economic institutions in the future.
- Discuss in a thesis the way modern neuroscience studies affects the way economics models are drawn up. Since economic decisions involve the human brain, they also involve and succumb to irrational thoughts and choices. These do not fit into classical economic models however, which are built around rational spending and purchasing habits. Neuroscience reveals that the inner workings of the brain rely on the interaction of multiple systems, just like economics. The science also seeks to explain irrational thought that can affect economic systems. Explain how breakthroughs in neuroscience affect and change economic theory and future models of economics.
- Discuss the benefits of understanding folk economics in a thesis. Folk economics is economics as it is practiced and understood by naïve or untrained individuals. It is concerned mostly with distribution, without taking into account incentives, division of labor, capital investment or economic growth. By understanding folk economics and the way people conduct business when they don't have proper training, it becomes easier to teach proper economics techniques and knowledge to open up greater avenues of trading. Posit how understanding folk economics can improve economics education in the future, and what that means for the field in general.
