How to Post Property Against Trespassing

104 28
    • 1). Buy a sign warning people not to trespass. Many stores sell "Keep Out," "Trespassers May Be Prosecuted," "Private Property" and "No Trespassing" signs.

    • 2). Post your sign in a visible location. If you want to keep solicitors from walking to your door trying to sell you something, post the sign at the entrance to your driveway. If you have a large parcel of land, post signs in more than one location.

    • 3). Post signs securely. Nail the signs to a tree or attach them to a post. Bury the end of the post deep enough to keep the sign from falling over. If your sign isn't posted securely, it could blow away or be easily removed.
