    • 2). Donate eggs. Some women suffer infertility for a variety of reasons, including genetic abnormalities, menopause and chemotherapy. Donated eggs make it possible for these women to bear a child. This option is available to healthy women between the ages of 21 and 35. The Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology maintains a list of donor clinics (see Resources section).

    • 3). Participate in human subject research. Biomedical research studies tests the effectiveness of new drugs on human subjects and studies them for the development of new treatment while psychological research usually involves brain scans and memory tests. Some research involves testing the effects of cosmetics on the participants. Visit Clinicaltrials.gov to find open research studies in your area (see Resources section).

    • 4). Donate plasma. Plasma contains proteins and antibodies used to treat life-threatening diseases. It is also used in transfusions for burn victims and those suffering from shock or trauma. Visit Donatingplasma.org to find a donor center in your area (see Resources section).

    • 5). Sell your hair. There is a large market for natural, untreated hair that is at least 10 inches long. Healthy hair is used for hair extensions and wigs. The Hair Trader and Hairwork are popular listing sites for hair (see Resources section).
