How to Slipstream XP With Raid Drivers
- 1). Launch your web browser and navigate to your PC manufacturer's website. Click "Download" or "Support." Input your computer's model and type.
- 2). Select your operating system from the drop-down menu. Select the category "drivers," "chipset" or "RAID." Download to your computer the appropriate SATA driver.
- 3). Insert your Windows XP CD into your CD or DVD drive. Download, install and run nLite (see "Resources"). Enter your language and click "Next."
- 4). Click "Browse" to locate the disc drive containing your Windows XP CD, if nLite does not detect the setup files automatically. Double-click the folder "i386."
- 5). Click "Next." Click "Drivers" and "Create a Bootable ISO." Click "Next." Click "Insert." Double-click the SATA driver to add it to the list.
- 6). Click "Next." Click "Yes" at the prompt "Do you want to start the process?" Click "Next" once nLite has finished compiling all of the necessary data to create the XP CD.
- 7). Enter a label into the "ISO Label" field. Click "Make ISO." Select a directory to save the CD image to, and nLite will build the slipstreamed Windows XP CD.
- 8). Click "Finish." Download, install and run a third-party CD software such as ISO Burner or ImgBurn. Remove the Windows XP CD and insert a blank CD into your disc drive.
- 9). Open the CD image you created in nLite. Click "Burn ISO" to burn the image to disc and create a Windows XP CD slipstreamed with RAID drivers.
