Wonderful! I loved this trip all the way. I went with my boyfriend and about 17 other of his family members. We all had so much fun. We all got together Saturday (January 7th) and headed down to Port Canaveral, Fla. We got there at about 5ish.
My boyfriend, his two brothers, one of their girlfriends, my boyfriend's cousin, and I decided to go try and find something to do. Sure enough, all down the Main Rd. from the cruise ship port, there were plenty of things to do. we chose one fun park, and did laser tag, rode go karts, played lots of arcade games, and played Putt putt Golf. It was a blast. Then we went to dinner, went back to the hotel, and got some sleep for we had a big day ahead of us.
Sunday morning (Jan 8th) we all got up, packed back up, and headed to the cruise port. There we were greeted by men who helped unpack our cars and took our luggage. We all went through the port doors, went through security (their security is NO joke!) and all went and got registered to our rooms with a Sail and Sign card. We then boarded the ship!
You immediately walk in and see the huge area they call the "Grand Spectrum". It's beautiful, you can look up and see five floors up, with all different clubs, bars, the Casino, and discos surrounding the area.
Ok Ok Ok, I'll try and sum this up, since you're probably getting bored reading this! The rooms are not small, they're a great size, spacious if you ask me. And, the Casino is so much fun! (i won 20 bucks), and the pool's nice.
In Freeport, go to the taxi area and get in one to head to the beach. It's a beautiful area. We rented Jetskis (60 dollars for half an hour, which they may just let you ride longer, we rode about an hr and fifteen mins). I highly recommend jet skiing. (The water's SO clear it's like you are snorkeling. I would stop when i was way out from the beach, and just watch the fish swim by and the coral reefs swaying! It was beautiful.
In Nassau, a couple of us rented Mopeds. It was fun! Although if you are not a good driver, don't do it. The people in Nassau, can't drive. at all. They use their horn as a stop sign. You'll see, but it was good getting to freely go and ride through the city just looking at everything. Go to Senor Frogs at night. If you're into clubbing, it's the best! Drinks are great! I recommend the kamikaze shots, and a strawberry daiquiri. Yumm! We were there til about 2 30 AM. Fun fun times...everyone go!
Anyways, I had a blast. Everything was just so enjoyable. Go with friends, fun family members, or someone you love... it'll be so great of a time!
I can't wait to go on another cruise. I totally recommend the Carnival Fantasy Cruise to the Bahamas!
