- 1). Raise the front of the vehicle with the lift to allow easy access to the underside of the Mustang. If you raise the car with the jack, place it on jack stands for safety.
- 2). Disconnect the negative battery terminal in the engine bay.
- 3). Remove the previous exhaust H-pipe from the underside of the vehicle.
- 4). Disconnect the emissions sensors from the existing headers.
- 5). Remove the existing headers from the Mustang.
- 6). Slide the driver's-side headers into place on the driver's side side of the engine and attach the headers to the engine using the mounting hardware which is included with the headers. Make sure all connections are firmly tightened. Repeat this step for the passenger-side headers.
- 7). Connect the emissions sensors to your newly installed headers.
- 8). Lower the vehicle from the lift or stands back onto the ground.
- 9). Reconnect the negative battery terminal in the engine bay.

Start the car. Allow it to run for a few minutes, then shut the car off and check underneath the vehicle for leaks.
