How to Build Your Own Air Intake for a 93 GMC
- 1). Place the intake tube into the heat shield and tighten a hose clamp around the tube's base.
- 2). Insert the cone filter over the inserted intake tube and tighten its hose clamp with the screwdriver.
- 3). Place the foam insulation edging around the edge of the heat shield and around the edge of the intake port that you slid the intake tube through.
- 4). Bolt the brackets onto the heat shield using the heat shield's stock mounting holes.
- 5). Insert the small silicone tube into the intake tube's vacuum hose port. Insert the hose mender into the end of the silicone tube. The air intake is now built. Remove the old air intake in the GMC Sierra and install this one to improve the truck's air to fuel ratio.
