- 1). Gather three sorting boxes. Label the boxes trash, giveaway and relocate. Set the boxes just outside the room. These boxes are for all the clutter and extra things that do not belong in the office and bedroom.
- 2). Remove all of the bedding, then wash and dry it while you are cleaning the room. Flip the mattress. Dust the headboard, the head rails and the footboard of the bed. Remove clutter from under the bed and then vacuum under it. Place clean sheets and blankets on the bed.
- 3). Remove unused items from the desktop and place them the desk drawers or the sorting boxes. Keep the bills and mail filed in a drawer or basket. Polish the desk according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Wipe the phone with a sanitizer.
- 4). Use a microfiber cloth to clean the surface of the computer and monitor. Carefully wipe the keyboard with the microfiber cloth.
- 5). Dust the window treatments in the bedroom with a feather duster or use the vacuum cleaner's upholstery attachment. Wash the windows with your favorite window cleaner. Clean the window screens by vacuuming.
- 6). Clear the clutter from the dressers. Follow the manufacturer's recommendation to polish the dresser. Polish and clean the mirror with a window cleaner. Vacuum underneath and behind the dresser.
- 7). Clean and organize the bedroom closet. Remove and dispose of all the extra clutter. Vacuum the closet floor. Remove the cobwebs with a feather duster.
- 8). Dust the room from top to bottom and left to right. Start at the doorway and work your way in a clockwise direction around the room. Use a feather duster to remove all of the cobwebs from the corners, along the ceiling and walls.
- 9). Vacuum the entire bedroom floor. Start in one corner and catch all the crevices. Dust-mop hardwood floors, then follow with a damp mop.

Empty the garbage cans. Take the sorting boxes to their destinations.
