Natalie goes back into Jared’s room to say her final good bye to her husband and tells him how much she wishes that she had died first because she doesn’t know how she’ll get through this. Charlie lies to Viki and tells her that he needs to refresh but goes after Mitch instead. Clint, Natalie and Jess watch as the orderlies take Jared away.
Brody lets John know that Jared had died. Once Mitch hears of the news he tells McBain that Natalie is going to blame him and that he’s the reason for Jared’s death. Mitch states that he won’t serve any jail time. He begins to anger John to a point where McBain is ready to kill Laurence but is stopped when Brody goes back to the garden house to check on him. Later, Charlie shows up and chokes Laurence to death with no resistance from McBain. Dorian is devastated to hear that she lost the election by only one vote. She declares she’d find out who deceived her. Markko begins to feel guilty and lets Langston know that he’s the culprit. Destiny tells Dorian know that David witnessed her marriage to Amelia and still has feelings for her.
Rex confronts Roxy about the true identity of his father. With a great deal of persuasion and proof of birth certificate Rex gets Roxy to eventually confess that Mitch is his father. She advises him that he’s dead and not to talk about it anymore. Back in Seattle, the surgeon working on Matthew comes out with bad news that he wasn’t able to complete the operation. Bo gets angry and pushes the doctor up against the wall for getting his son’s hopes up. Rachel and Greg arrive at the hospital just has the doctor is explaining himself and Greg decides he’d scrub in to see what he could do. Afterwards, Greg gives Bo and Nora an optimistic report that Matt chances of walking again are big. Bo and Nora are thankful and decide to celebrate back at the hotel with some kissing and dancing. Rachel thanks Greg and he tells her that he wouldn’t of been able to do it without both Destiny’s and Shaun’s inspiration.
