How to Free Yourself of No longer Needed Household Items
- 1). A yard sale, with the price noted in each item, is one way--and if you don't mind haggling with buyers, you actually might MAKE money! Join with a friend, tag items separately and distinctively, and both of you could recycle AND make $!!
- 2). More creative, is a "White elephant" swap. This is a party of sorts, at which friend and family can bring their unneeded items and exchange them for some one or more items they need. A rule may be that the leftover, unneeded items
are donated to charity. - 3). You may want to simply donate your items directly to charity. Do some research, before time, as Goodwill, St Paul's and the Salvation Army are NOT
the only groups in need. You can donate an old car to Diabetic or Kidney charities, baby items to a shelter for pregnant teens, wheelchairs or commodes to a Hospice, and you'll find MANY other charities in need of what you no longer want.
