How to Set Up Google Apps Email in Mac Mail
- 1). Enable IMAP support in your Google Apps Gmail account by clicking the gear icon in the upper-right corner of the screen, clicking "Mail Settings," clicking the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab, clicking "Enable IMAP" and clicking "Save Changes."
- 2). Click the "Mail" menu in the Apple Mail application and click "Preferences."
- 3). Click the "Accounts" icon at the top of the preferences window.
- 4). Click the "+" icon at the bottom of the list of accounts.
- 5). Type your name into the "Full Name" box. People who receive emails from you will see this name on the emails.
- 6). Type your Google Apps email address into the email address box in the format "name@your_domain.com".
- 7). Type your Google Apps account password into the "Password" box.
- 8). Click the "Create" button.
- 9). Click the "Account Type" box on the Incoming Mail Server window that appears and click "IMAP."

Type "imap.gmail.com" into the "Incoming Mail Server" box. - 11
Type your full email address into the "User Name" box and your password into the "Password" box and then click "Continue." - 12
Type "smtp.gmail.com" into the "Outgoing Mail Server" box. - 13
Check the "Use Authentication" checkbox. - 14
Type your full email address and password into the "User Name" and "Password" boxes and click "Continue." - 15
Click "Create" to save your account details.
