- 1). Turn off your Dell Latitude D610 and remove the power cable. Close the display and turn the unit upside down. The battery compartment is visible in the bottom corner.
- 2). Use your screwdriver to remove the single screw at the corner of the battery.
- 3). Pull the battery latch at the end of the battery outward. The battery pops out of the compartment. Remove it.
- 4). Fit a new battery in the compartment so that the connector on the end of the battery matches up with the terminal inside the battery compartment.
- 5). Press the battery down until the latch locks in place.
