By looking a place up, you know what the weather is at which times of the year, which locations are most suitable for your vacationer's plans; you may not want them to have nude beaches when it's a family vacation, likewise you may not want the most public beach for a romantic getaway.
You can even keep a file of restaurants that are more to your client's palate for them to dine at.
Any time you have local knowledge about where your clients are heading off to, it helps them.
The personal touch is what will keep them, and their referrals, coming.
