The Christian Bible and the Old Testament

The Old Testament is the first of the two main sections of the generally accepted Christian Bible.
Old Testament trivia will show that this is the book which also makes up the Hebrew Bible, although it is organized and structured differently.
The name for the Hebrew Bible is the Tanakh.

Even though the Old Testament is used by many religious groups, many different versions of it are in use.
This includes books which include other material, were derived from other translations, or which order the books differently.
