The news about various nursery and baby room product recalls can indeed be alarming.
The main issue with these product recalls is not the inconvenience of purchasing and returning the products one bought but, more importantly, on the fact that the safety of one's child can be compromised due to these products.

Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled about 350,000 woven storage trunks due to safety issues (strangulation hazards).
Now, the dilemma is that these decorative boxes can be extremely useful in a nursery or a child's room, thus, increasing the demand for such items.
These boxes can serve as storage spaces while, at the same time, provide a more pleasant atmosphere to a child's room.
Now, the big question is whether these decorative storage boxes available in the market today are indeed safe for children and babies? How does a consumer know when a product out in the market is actually safe or not? A few minutes to research, especially on the durability and material safety of the decorative storage boxes, can be indeed worth it.
These boxes are extremely useful in nurseries and children's rooms to contain play things, books and even clothing.
However, every parent should face the challenge of inspecting such boxes for durability, safety and sturdiness.
After all, no parent would want to place their child in danger just because they were tempted to buy really nice and cheap decorative lockable storage boxes.
