    • 1). Consult the vehicle's owner's manual to determine the appropriate towing capacity. Purchase the appropriate trailer hitch assembly. Review the electrical requirements of the trailer. Purchase a wiring harness to meet those requirements.

    • 2). Lift the hitch receiver to the frame. Line up the holes of the receiver with the corresponding holes in the frame. Insert the bolts and secure the bolts with nuts. Tighten each bolt with a torque wrench.

    • 3). Locate the wiring harness for the left and right taillights. Disconnect the harness. Plug the "T" connector to the trailer wiring harness in between the two factory connectors. Run the trailer wires to the cut out in the hitch receiver. Zip tie any loose wires together with the frame. Screw the trailer connector mounting box to the hitch receiver. Tighten the screws with a Phillips head screwdriver.

    • 4). Slide the ball mount into the hitch receiver. Secure with the supplied lynch and cotter pin.

    • 5). Remove the nut and washer from the hitch ball. Slide the bolt of the hitch ball through the hole in the ball mount. Replace the washer and nut. Tighten with a wrench.
