Setting Up "Find My iPhone"

• 1). Tap the "App Store" icon.
  
  
• 2). Tap "Search" on the bottom of the screen. Then type "Find My iPhone" in the search box. Tap on the app's name, then the green "Install" button to download it to your iPhone.
  
  
• 3). Tap the "Settings" icon.
  
  
• 4). Tap "Mail, Contacts, Calendar," then tap "MobileMe."
  
  
• 5). Type your Apple ID and password. Then tap "Accept" in the bottom right corner of the screen to accept the Terms and Conditions.
  
  
• 6). Tap "On" next to "Find My iPhone." The app will automatically begin tracking your iPhone's locations.
  
  

Tracking the iPhone

• 1). Log into the iCloud website using your Apple ID and password.
  
  
• 2). Click on the "Find My iPhone" icon. A map will open with a green dot showing the current location for your iPhone.
  
  
• 3). Click the "i" next to the name of your iPhone on the green dot. A list of options will appear.
  
  
• 4). Click "Play Sound or Send Message" to play a loud sound if the iPhone is missing in your home or if you want to send a message to the phone stating it is lost. Click "Remote Lock" to set a four-digit passcode for the iPhone, or click "Remote Wipe" to wipe all the data off the device.
  
  
• 5). Click the iCloud logo in the "My Devices" box on the upper left corner of the screen to return to the iCloud home screen.
  
  
• 6). Click "Sign Out" on the upper right corner to log out.
