No Trophy Fee Hunting Ranches in Texas

  In the hunting world, a trophy animal is one that is especially prized. It may be a mature male deer with an impressive rack of antlers or an extremely large feral hog. Some---but not all---hunting ranches in Texas charge a trophy fee if hunters shoot such an animal. This fee is in addition to any basic package charges including daily rates, guide services or lodging.
  
  

Brushy Hill Ranch

• Brushy Hill Ranch is a 13,000-acre, bow-only hunting ranch in south Texas. The ranch has whitetail and axis deer, turkeys, wild hogs, bobcats, coyotes and small game such as raccoons. • Diamond C Bow Hunting Ranch offers deer, hogs and rams for both experienced and novice bow hunters. While the ranch does not charge trophy fees, there are kill fees only on Fallow and Oryx hunts. • Hunters Creek Ranch is located in northeast Texas near the town of Mount Pleasant. The ranch specializes in hog hunts, with or without dogs. • A working ranch that comprises 130,000 acres, Matador Ranch spreads into parts of five counties and is approximately 90 miles from Lubbock.
