Add 20 to 30 drops of pine oil to laundry wash water. Pine oil cuts through grease and grime, leaving clothes clean and scented with the herbaceous evergreen'scent of pine. Scotch pine is especially fragrant and is useful in repelling insects. - 2). Mix equal parts of fragrant Citrus limonum 'lemon' and scotch pine essential oil. Rub a few drops of the mixture on laundry stains and watch them disappear. Add scotch pine to laundry rinse water along with 1 cup white vinegar to leave clothes soft, fluffy and wrinkle free. The scent of scotch pine and lemon removes musty odors and mildew.
- 3). Combine 1 cup white vinegar, 1/2 cup water, 1/4 cup organic dish washing liquid soap and 20 to 20 drops of scotch pine oil. Scotch pine oil blends well with balsam, fir, chamomile, lavender, geranium, myrrh and wild orange. Any combination of oil may be used. Place mixture in a spray bottle and use to clean plumbing fixtures, kitchen appliances, counter tops and children's toys. These essential oils all present anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-infectious properties and leave a clean fresh scent. Spray and wipe with a damp, soft rag.
- 4). Add 6 to 8 drops of scotch pine oil to 1 ounce of organic pet shampoo. Bathe your pet with the mixture and rinse well to remove all residue. Your pet's coat will be lustrous, soft and pleasant smelling. Scotch pine essential oil is useful in repelling ticks and fleas. Place a few drops of pine essential oil on a cotton ball and tuck it into pet bedding to deter flea infestations. Refresh monthly.
