Moms can get stressed out during the holidays. They're often buying and wrapping gifts, preparing for holiday parties and managing working full-time and handling housework at the same time. Let mom have a little fun in between the stressful moments with a Christmas scavenger hunt. Have her find and bring back items that she’s been missing during her busy days as a mother. - A manicure and pedicure may be something your mom (or mother of your children) hasn’t gotten around to lately, which is why it makes the perfect addition to a mom’s scavenger hunt list. Include “Get a manicure and pedicure with Christmas colors or artwork” on the scavenger hunt list. Your mom will have to go and relax for a bit and end up with nails painted in red and green colors or with holiday artwork (such as mini Santas, snowflakes or snowmen) on her nails.
- Mom probably hasn’t had time to go shopping as much as she’d like, so add it to her Christmas scavenger hunt list. The item on the list could say “Find the perfect outfit for visiting family on Christmas day” or “Choose a Christmas dress for the upcoming holiday party.”
- Add “Find Rudolph with his red nose” or “Find Mrs. Clause with some freshly baked cookies” and have mom’s children dress up as Christmas characters waiting at home or at a friend’s house for mom to arrive.
- Mom should have to find the mistletoe, and someone she loves underneath it ready for a big Christmas kiss. Simply put on the list “Find the mistletoe and someone you love.”
- The last item on the list should be for mom to find her gift somewhere, which would entitle her to cross of the item “Find your Christmas gift” off of the scavenger hunt list.
