So what steps can be taken to avoiding back injury whilst backpacking? There are a few essential steps that can be taken that you should follow that can help prevent a bad back.
One main way is by not packing your backpack too full.
Learning to pack your backpack light will help considerably.
A point to note that packing light does not mean that you have to leave everything behind.
It's about thinking smart and packing gear that has multiple uses.
Take a look at the gear you are going to take with you on a typical backpacking trip.
Can you find other uses for some of the items? If so, then drop the items that you don't need.
It is important to do back exercises is these can help strengthen your back.
Try stretching exercise as these bring great benefit to your back.
