- 1). Push in on the metal panels on each side of the front panel on the washing machine. Carefully lift and twist the panel inward to pull the front part of the panel out. Release the clips near the bottom of the washing machine and remove the panel.
- 2). Remove the wires attached to the pump, which is located in the rear right side of the washer base. Release the clips holding in the pump and pull out the pump.
- 3). Flip the pump over and use a soft brush to clean the filter. Remove any debris or foreign objects that may be located in the pump.
- 4). Turn the pump back over and slide it back into the washing machine with a slightly twisting motion. Reconnect the wires.
- 5). Place the base of the front access panel along the bottom of the washing machine and clip into place. Gently push the front part of the panel into place.
