The word sin needs clarification.
There are different kinds of sin and levels of sin.
However, sin is still sin.
Sin separates you from fellowship what God.
Repentance brings you back to fellowship.
Most Christians go through a cycle of sinning and repentance for along time.
This is not healthy.
Temptations come in different forms.
They will come through people, atmosphere, environment and from within you.
It does not matter what the source is it still potent enough to make you sin and score over you.
The important aspect is that you recognize it.
There are also spiritual and carnal temptations to sin.
Spiritual sin is serious because the aim is to weaken and eventually kill your faith.
You need to guard your spirit.
The flesh or carnal sin is to waken your resolve to live pure and holy life with your body.
There are habits that are some times hard to break.
This is where the home church so useful to stay with you and help you overcome.
I have seen both in many believers over the past forty years.
Some broke their physical habits immediately the same day they came to Christ.
Some labored over it for years and broke some kept some.
Physical and body habits are not harmful to our spiritual man.
However, they certainly discourage and depress you.
Spiritual issues are the mind and spirit issues like trusting your job, money, investments and people over God.
These are deadly.
In addition, kill your fellowship with God.
Most hypocrisy starts here.
In churches and Christian groups, this person will act as if God is his priority.
However, you his real priorities are money and job.
Home church can find out very soon as you relate to this person in a small group.
How do you deal with temptations? First, try to reject the thought of doing that act.
The though is where Satan plays and lures you first.
The Holy Spirit is faithful to bring to your thoughts that this I wrong.
When you start this struggle, try to change your thinking and do something else.
Another way is to get away from the place where temptation is present.
You may need to get away from people who associate with your old ways of living and sinning for a while.
It is all right to take precautions to clean up your life.
You need to do it.
No one else will do that for you.
The more you resist the more strength you get for the next time.
Eventually you will gain victory completely.
The home church will teach and help you personally by praying and encouraging you live godly life.
