A Greener Future With Solar Heat Panels

103 16
There is no question that the sun is the planets most prolific energy source.
Besides regulating Mother Nature's temperature and climate, the sheer magnetic force of this monolithic star governs water cycles and seasonal change.
It truly is the human race's most natural source of energy and thus it is only logical that we sustainably attempt to harness this energy for uses such as solar energy conversion for electricity and fuel.
With the depletion of other natural, yet more slowly renewal fuel sources such as wood and fossil fuel deposits, the world's greatest minds are currently working hard to create more ecologically friendly solutions for alternative heating solutions.
As the sun's natural energy production is abundant and sustainable, it is only natural that this would be a certain candidate as an effective heating solution.
One of these newest and already successful technologies involves solar heat panels.
These efficient panels work by gathering the sun's energy, harnessing the heat from that energy, and then converting that power into a usable heat source for homes during the colder seasons.
As the suns emissions produce heat energy daily, it becomes challenging to find ways to make this heat source useful.
The solar heat panels technology overcomes this problematic issue by its process of using two methods of heat generation and storage.
Heat generation is done through panels that are box-like planes that are shallow in depth.
These thin, flat planes are called collecting panels.
These panels are usually placed in a high, unobstructed area to best optimize the receipt of the sun's rays.
Heat from this energy is then absorbed into a black metal plate inside the collecting panel.
That plate makes use of this energy by heating a matrix of liquid elements inside the panel's collector.
The sun's radiating heat will then raise the temperature of the specially mixed liquid material to near boiling at 180 degrees Fahrenheit.
Panel design is changing to improve optimal success frequently and in the alternative heating market today, even new liquid formulas are seemingly increasing the effectiveness of these collection panels heating functionality.
For those living in the colder US climates using solar heat panels it is imperative that the heat stored in these panels provide continuing comfort during winter.
Storage of this heat via the panels is contingent on the insulation material that is used.
Antifreeze, which is known to prevent freezing in the coldest of climates, can be added to the liquid formula in the panel to extend the lifespan of stored heat energy.
Our dependence on fossil fuels for our heating resource is having an incredibly negative effect on the environment in a multitude of ways.
However, the good news is that scientists and entrepreneurs alike are now consistently devising new, alternative heating solutions such as the ecologically sound technology of solar heat panels.
And with the quick propulsion of the new eco-friendly ideas of these creative minds, an Earth friendly optimism arises that perhaps there may be a brighter, greener future ahead for our children's children.
