- 1). Close the U-shaped lock shackle and then push it down into the lock body of your Master Lock 1500i two times until you hear or feel a click.
- 2). Input your existing combination by sliding the button right, left, up and down in the correct sequence order.
- 3). Grasp the shackle and pull it up to open the lock, and slide the reset lever on the back left of the lock body up to the "R" position with a pen tip or the end of a straightened paperclip.
- 4). Close the shackle again, push down on it two times until you hear or feel a click, then pull it up to release it from the lock body.
- 5). Slide the speed dial button in each direction in any sequence or as many times as you desire to create a new combination. If you want your combination to reflect a number, letter, word, symbol, shape or color sequence, place one of the Master Lock 1500i overlays on the lock face over the button and create the sequence using the marks on the overlay as your guide.
- 6). Return the reset lever to its original position. Close the shackle and push it down twice until it clicks.
- 7). Press the button in the directions that match the new combination sequence and then pull up the shackle to open the lock to confirm that the new combination works.
