- 1). Find the mirror access panel on the inside edge of the faring directly opposite where the mirror bolts to the outside of the fairing. The access panel is rectangular, and you can see a small indentation where the plastic cover presses into the fairing.
- 2). Wedge a small flat head screwdriver between the fairing and the access panel and pop the panel out of the fairing. Be careful not to scratch the paint.
- 3). Hold the mirror as you remove the two bolts that secure the mirror to the fairing using a socket and ratchet set.
- 4). Pull the mirror away from the fairing and place the new mirror against the fairing. Hold the mirror as you thread the bolts into the mirror using your fingers. Tighten the bolts in place using a socket and ratchet.
- 5). Place the access panel back on the faring and press it in to place with your thumb.
