- 1). Hold the phone face down. Slide the bottom of the door up and remove it. Place the battery into the phone with the metal facing to the right side.
- 2). Slide the battery door notches near the top of the phone. Lower the door and slide the tab up until you hear a click.
- 3). Connect the AC adapter to the bottom of the phone's jack. Plug the adapter into a wall outlet. Wait until the battery icon (located on the main screen) says that it is fully charged.
- 4). Slide your phone open to expose the keyboard. Press the right red phone icon to turn the phone on.
- 5). Press the left soft key to select the menu. Press and hold the "OK" button to select "Contacts." Navigate to "Add a Contact." Enter the name, phone number and email address. Press the right soft key to save.
- 6). Enter a phone number, or select a number from your contact list. Press the green phone button to make the phone call. End the phone call by pressing the red phone icon.
- 7). Press the volume key on the left side of your phone. Raise or lower your speaker volume. Press and hold the up or down arrow to activate or deactivate the silent mode.
- 8). Select the envelope icon from your main screen. Use the right and left arrows to navigate around the screen. Press "OK" and "#." Follow the prompts to set up your voicemail password, greeting and extra features.
