DIY Wall Lights
- 1). Hold a towel bar holder perpendicular to an aluminum plate with the opening for the rod on the towel bar facing up; for a more traditional sconce, place the holder at the bottom center of the recessed section of the plate.
- 2). Install the bracket from the towel bar kit onto the predetermined location on the face of the aluminum plate with the included screws and the drill; a normal drill bit suffices as aluminum accepts drilling without much resistance. Install only one bracket to each plate face, and keep in mind that the brackets need to sit on its side so the openings on the towel bar holder will face up.
- 3). Secure your installed screws with washers on the backside of the aluminum plates to complete the process of screwing the brackets into the plates.
- 4). Attach each towel bar holder to its bracket, following the package instructions included with your hardware.
- 5). Nail through the aluminum plates to attach the wall lights to the wall. Set tapered candles inside the openings of the towel bars to complete the project.
