How to Create a Trap to Catch a Bird
- 1). Take the chicken wire and form it around one end of the pipe to block the exit. Make sure that all of the edges of the wire extend beyond the pipe to prevent any gaps that the bird might escape through.
- 2). Tape the chicken wire around the outside of the pipe with duct tape. Ensure that the wire on the end of the pipe is not covered with tape, so you can see through the pipe.
- 3). Set the trap by simply placing it on the ground near an area where the type of bird you are trapping will frequently be found. Place a trail of cracked corn into the trap, with some dried cob corn in the back of the trap near the chicken wire.
- 4). Check the trap the next day. If the trap has captured a bird, remove the chicken wire and carefully slide the bird out. Get a good grip on the bird as most wild game birds will fight for survival and take off quickly, if given a chance.
