Make Stylish Curly Branched Trees From Simple Paper or Ribbon Strips

These quick to make miniature trees can be made in a variety of colors from either paper or ribbon to suit a range of miniature and model scenes. The trees can be made entirely from recycled materials, and are an easy project for children or adults to make with minimal materials. Ideal for school projects, they are shown here, made from a sheet of white printer paper. White trees are suitable for Christmas scenes and can be decorated with flocking, glitter, or scenic snow materials or small decorations.

For other scenes and class projects they can be made from strips of green ribbon or green construction paper. The scale and size of the trees are easily adjusted by choosing a different sized trunk and length/width of branch. The one shown here measures approximately eight inches high and can be made using an old pencil or a piece of dowel, and a sheet of white paper.
