Losing It: "General Hospital" Recap for Monday, November 10, 2008
Sonny limps off after killing Karpov and spitting on his body and giving it a swift kick, while Olivia watches in shock. She is unable to talk when she calls 911. She goes to General Hospital, still a mess, and goes off on Elizabeth, asking her how she can love a man who can kill without a thought.
Speaking of Jason, he and Spinelli brainstorm as to where Jerry could have taken Sam and what he intends to do with all of that plastique. Spinelli wonders if Sam hasn't turned back to the dark side after her breakup with Lucky, but Jason isn't convinced. She did, after all, drop the detonator. He believes she left it as a clue.
On the ship, as Jerry talks away and looks out of the porthole, smart Sam manages to tap a distress signal on the radio. Once Jerry realizes that - when the Harbor Patrol broadcasts it - he hits Sam across the face.
Luke and Laura kiss, embrace, and are about to go around again when the kids arrive, thrilled to see Laura. Lulu gives her father a big hug. Laura asks that they never lie to her or keep anything from her again. Lulu asks her dad, quietly, where Tracy fits into the equation. She assumes he's back with Laura.
Tracy finds out that Luke and Laura are okay, and it's apparent to her that Scott has given up his fight. Spencer won. Tracy says she's not giving up.
When everyone arrives, Laura is most gracious, thanking Tracy for everything she's done for Lulu and apologizing about the mock wedding. She remarks that it was generous of Tracy, to which Tracy remarks, "I don't do generous. And I'm not giving up my husband." Fireworks to come.
Robin's blood still isn't clotting, and Patrick is worried. So, in fact, is the tired Robin, who wants Anna to keep helping Patrick in the future. She's obviously thinking that she herself is checking out. Anna is tough on her daughter, telling her that Emma needs her and after all the odds she's beaten, Robin can't give up. Robin agrees to keep fighting.
The Harbor Patrol boards the ship, and Jerry claims he and his girlfriend, who is in the shower, were fooling around and the distress signal was sent by mistake. So stupid. Spinelli's program picks up the distress signal and finds out it was a false alarm and that the gentlemen on the ship's name is - get this - James Brosnan. Boy, somebody thinks he's a candidate for James Bond. .
Sonny crawls back into Carly's place and announces that he needs an alibi. Carly is ripping mad at Sonny, blaming him for ruining her life, that her last chance with Jax was destroyed when he saw them together. After her diatribe, Sonny wants a sandwich so he can appear normal if the police arrive. Carly says she's not so sure she's doing anything for him. She hates herself, describing herself as an addict (Jax's word) who can't stop, who even, after what happened to Michael, gave Sonny a gun.
Olivia is wandering around in apparent shock, and it's amazing no one has picked up on it yet. she returns to the site of Karpov's death, where Mac asks her if she knows who killed the man. She looks confused.
The police arrive at Carly's, where Sonny is eating his sandwich. Sonny won't say where he was all evening, and to his horror, Carly won't say where he or she was either. So Sonny is arrested for Karpov's murder as Carly stares him down. Wonder how long this will last - not long.
