How to Use Two Different External Hard Drives With the Same iTunes Library on the Portable Computer

    • 1). Plug the USB cables from the external hard drives into the USB ports on your computer.

    • 2). Click "Start," and click "Computer." Double-click the first "External Hard Drive" icon to open a folder for the hard drive. Drag the music files into hard drive's folder to store them on the hard drive. Repeat this step for the second hard drive.

    • 3). Click "Start," and click "All Programs." Click the "iTunes" option, click "File" and click "Add To Library." Double-click the first external hard drive icon, and click the folder that stores the music files. Click "Add" to copy the files into the iTunes library.

    • 4). Click "File," and click "Add To Library" again. Double-click the other external hard drive icon, and click the folder that holds the music files. Click "Add" to copy the files into the iTunes library.

    • 5). Connect the hard drives to your computer whenever you want to play the song in iTunes or upload a file to your iPod.
