How to Clean a Supplies Storage Cabinet
- 1). Remove all items from the cabinet. Place any trash you find into a trash bag for disposal.
- 2). Use a hose or brush attachment and vacuum all interior cabinet surfaces.
- 3). Fill two buckets with hot water. Use one bucket for cleaning and the other for rinsing. In the cleaning bucket, add 2 tbsp. of a degreasing dish detergent. Alternatively, for supply cabinets that are used for storing greasy tools, you may use a citrus-based degreaser. In this case, follow directions on the label regarding dilution.
- 4). Put on rubber gloves and wet a sponge in your cleaning solution. Scrub the supplies cabinet from the top down by wiping the walls and shelves with the sponge.
- 5). Wet a sponge in your rinse-water bucket. Use this sponge to remove cleaning residue. When you have finished rinsing, leave the doors open to allow the cabinet to air-dry or dry all the surfaces with towels.
