How to Copy a Movie File Onto a Disc

    Mac

    • 1). Click on the "Finder."

    • 2). Create a "Burn Folder" by clicking "File" and choosing "New Burn Folder."

    • 3). Drag the movie file you want to copy onto a disc into the new burn folder you created.

    • 4). Open the new burn folder and click "Burn."

    • 5). Insert a blank CD-R (CD Recordable) or DVD-R (DVD Recordable) into the CD or DVD burner of your computer, and the movie file will be copied to the disc.

    • 6). Eject the CD or DVD from your computer when the burning process is complete.

    PC

    • 1). Insert a blank CD-R (CD Recordable) or DVD-R (DVD Recordable) into the CD or DVD burner of your computer.

    • 2). Select "Burn Files to Data Disc" when prompted by your computer.

    • 3). Click the "Show Formatting Options" link.

    • 4). Select "Mastered" from the list of options that appears.

    • 5). Click "Next" and drag the movie file you want to copy onto a disc into the folder that appears.

    • 6). Click "Burn to Disc" and the movie file will be copied to the CD or DVD you inserted into your computer.

    • 7). Eject the CD or DVD from your computer when the burning process is complete.
